Dr. Casey Simmonds
Dr. Casey Simmonds’s passion for wellness started when he was growing up in Bountiful, Utah. He played several sports, including football, and ended up sustaining a neck injury. After a doctor told him he would never play football again, he sought out a second opinion from his uncle, who was a chiropractor.
Thanks to the chiropractic treatment he received, Dr. Simmonds experienced reduced inflammation, improved mobility, restored motion, and enhanced healing. This introduction to chiropractic care sparked a lifelong interest in helping people who have experienced similar issues with long-term pain and dysfunction.
After graduating from Bountiful High School, Dr. Simmonds completed an undergraduate degree at Weber State University, then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he learned the complexities of chiropractic care and interned under some of the profession’s leading experts. After graduating, he moved with his wife, Rachel, to Silverdale, Washington, where they developed a family-based chiropractic clinic.
While he began his chiropractic career specializing in sports, Dr. Simmonds soon learned specialty treatments in other areas, including becoming certified Webster’s Technique, which is a comprehensive program designed to expand professional ability in prenatal and pediatric care. Additionally, he is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and has trained with members of the EPIC Pediatrics group. He also specializes in neuropathy treatments and spinal decompression.
In November 2019, Dr. Simmonds and his wife decided to sell their practice and bring their family back to their Utah roots. By April 2020, they had started Elevate Wellness Chiropractic in Bountiful. In addition to treating chiropractic patients, he works with Elevate Wellness and Vitality to provide comprehensive wellness solutions including IV nutritional therapy and hormone replacement.
In his spare time, Dr. Simmonds enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. The family loves to explore Utah’s natural beauty and regularly enjoys snowmobiling, camping, and playing sports.
Kris Jenkins
Kris Jenkins has worked in the medical field for nearly 15 years. He has experience working as a firefighter and paramedic for the Ogden and Salt Lake City fire departments, two of the busiest in the state of Utah. During paramedic school, Kris developed a love for the medical field and decided to become a nurse, as well. He has primarily worked as a heart specialist nurse in the cardiac cath lab, but has also spent time as an ICU and ER nurse.
His passion for the medical field and improving patients’ overall health and wellness lead him to pursue a Family Nurse Practitioner degree. While working on his degree, he completed extra coursework to learn more about hormone replacement therapy, cardiac health, and first responder health.
Kris founded Elevate Wellness and Vitality because of the health struggles he witnessed his colleagues go through as a first responder. He wanted to establish a clinic that could help treat the chronic stress first responders face and improve their overall wellness.
Along with treating patients at Elevate Wellness and Vitality, he also works as a nurse practitioner in the emergency room at Lone Peak Hospital.
